Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS)

Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) is the most common movement disorder but is generally under-diagnosed. It is characterized by an overwhelming urge to move the legs and is usually accompanied by an uncomfortable or unpleasant sensation. Symptoms worsen during rest or inactivity, are worse in the evening or night and can be alleviated by moving the legs. Those most affected are older people and women.
